Once upon a time,
there was a girl who put herself in a box. This girl thought she had to live a stereotypical life. Get married at the right age, dress a certain way, follow the trends, get the most impressive degree...
She thought she was labeled by the options of others, the title of her job and the hobbies she had. This girl was never satisfied. This girl was me.
I felt alone. I felt like I was missing something. I wouldn't pursue the drive in my heart that gave me excitement, the one that brought me to life. I was scared. I didn't want to disappoint the people around me.
I didn't want to risk my security. I conformed. I lost myself.
I decided to refuse to be boxed away anymore. I decided I could be a creative junkie, God fearing, fun loving, goofy as heck gal instead of being shoved into a category. THAT'S WHEN I CAME TO LIFE. I’m not JUST an Interior Designer. I’m not JUST an artist. I’m not defined by the opinion of the ones who disapproved of my approach on life. I’m not defined by the ones who think I’m young and naive.
I’m not defined by the ones who don’t see the world the same way I do. I’m defined by my Creator. The One that gave me my millions of visions and ideas, the One that makes me, ME. I decided to take on life with a fire, one that is fueled by passion and rawness. I pray you find the strength to pursue your fire. It's what makes you unique.
