MY STORY and MY MESSAGE
Is not One Size Fits All.
But the heart behind it is.
Some struggle with being able to keep their weight in a healthy range. Too much or too little. Some believe their bodies don’t meet a standard. Others are consistently trying to obtain an unachievable goal.
Sometimes these (what can be) forms of self deterioration manifest from trauma... or maybe it manifests from a skewed or broken relationship with Jesus.
Ultimately, the root is found in the idolization of things apart from Christ.
Acceptance? Comfort? Affirmation? Pride? Protection?
... found in the world brings destruction. Found in Christ brings beauty, growth and gain.
Loving your soul, body, and mind isn’t a SELF fueled reconstruction process. Its a faith fueled process, SOULY backed by self surrender to THE Redeemer.
YES... care for your body... BUT where does your heart lie? WHO and WHAT does is lie in? All the attention you could give to your body in the world will NEVER fix the heart.
Our bodies were CREATED by the hands of THE CREATOR to serve a purpose. To carry life, to carry our souls, to take us places, to love, to laugh, to eat, to dance...
Lets be BOLD and hold eachother up in our journey to loving ourselves the way our Father made us... for the purpose He gave us.
We were created to be different. To make a mark. To share OUR story... our redemption story... the heartbreak, pain and brokenness that lead to REDEMPTION. Let Jesus handle the rest in obedience to follow after His heart.
Don’t let fear hold you back. Don’t let criticism hold you back. Don’t let lies hold you back. Those are not of Christ.
You never know who is going through the same battle. No matter their age. No matter their gender. No matter their season of life.
Just surrender.
